Monsters Rocks Your students will love this cute little ‘Monster Rocks’ set of times tables. Each times table set has a different monster. The different ways to use Monster Rocks Times Tables Task cards - these make for great revision or practice. Answers can be printed and laminated back to back. This helps with durability and will last longer. Making them reusable. Games - Times table snap is a fun way to engage your students. Get them to work in pairs ( They will need a copy each of which ever times table they are practising) and when both students deal the same times table, the one who is able to answer the equation first wins. ‘The Floor is Lava’ If you have children or you teach children then you will at some point of heard and possible played (fun for grownups to) this game. This game is a great way to emphasise, assess and observe your students understanding of numbers. CCSS 1NBT.1A is the fluency standard that is recommended. Print and laminate, card stock would be ideal as it will give them a longer lifespan. Use in pairs, small groups or as a whole class. If working in pairs or small groups you will need to print more than one copy! How to play Share the ‘I have’ cards to each student along with the number cards. Telling the Time - Half Past and O’clock There are 26 slides each with a different time. This would be idea as a review as well as an introduction to ‘time telling.’ What is covered: 26 mixed slides of ‘half past’ and ‘o’clock.’ How to use This can be used as an individual activity or part of a group in a class.
